Listen here or wherever you get your podcasts!

Today, the podcast welcomes counselor, reiki master, and spiritual coach, Vienna D'Aprile and their discussion focuses on spirituality. Vienna's initial training and mental health work took a traditional clinical shape. Over time, however, this shape began to shift to incorporate the value and meaning she was finding in her own spiritual development. Today she joins Courtney to answer the questions that most frequently arise when discussing spirituality in (and out of) client sessions:

- What is a good working definition of "spirituality"?

- What are the similarities and differences between religion and spirituality?

- What is the value of having this practice in our lives?

- How do we overcome the obstacles presented by 21st century living when engaging with spiritual practices?

- How can we use mindfulness to begin forming a spiritual practice?

- What does my personal spiritual practice look like?

Vienna also gives an overview of her work as a reiki master and the ways she incorporates this ancient practice into contemporary mental health counseling. Finally, Vienna shares a few of her favorite teachers in the specific practices of Manifestation of Law of Attraction including: Abraham-Hicks, Louise Hay, Wayne Dyer, and Gabby Bernstein.
