Alright, runners! Let’s hit that start line.
This is the “official” start of the solavis run club!
Some tips for getting started:
Download the Couch to 5k or training plan of your choice;
Set a schedule - it is advisable that new runners start with 3 days per week (and no back to back days in the very beginning. If following the Couch to 5k plan, each run is about 35 minutes. I find it helpful to write my runs in my planner along with all my other commitments.
Make sure you have serviceable shoes. I almost quit running in the first four weeks because I was getting shin splints due to the wrong shoes. You don’t need to spend a fortune right out the gate, but you need to have something good for your feet.
