POSTPONED: beginner's mind, beginner's meditation

If you've wondered about mindfulness meditation but don't know where to begin, or if you've already started but want to deepen your practice and understanding, this workshop is for you!

This workshop will teach participants the basics of vipassana, or mindfulness, meditation. The event is a blending of information, discussion, and practice. Lecture will focus on the history and terminology of meditation, instruction on how to sit and how to use the breath to create awareness. Discussion will focus on participants' reactions to the practice as well as Q&A to overcome obstacles. Breath work and two short meditations will be included in the workshop.
