June on Zoom!
As we prepare to turn the page on yet another month I am feeling a certain restlessness. I’ve been really blessed to continue coaching folx remotely and leading group meditation on zoom, but there has been one important part of my practice missing. Workshops.
Interestingly, my initial vision for solavis did not have a significant focus on providing workshops. I saw it as a great opportunity to start to share my message and my knowledge as I grew a client base as a behavioral health coach, but it wasn’t intended to be a central component to my practice.
In the past year, it has turned out to be one of my favorite things! As an educator, this shouldn’t have come as a surprise, honestly, but it has been a very pleasant realization just the same.
And so, as we enter June, it feels right to open back up this part of my practice. I know not everyone is yet prepared to start gathering in groups, even small ones, so this first grouping of offerings will continue to be remote. I look forward to us all being in the same spaces again but we’re not quite there….yet.
Up first - I will be returning to the start and bringing back the first workshop I ran last summer! The complete: self-care workshop series will launch, on zoom, on Monday, June 1 at 2pm. We will meet once per week for about an hour or so each week and discuss each of the five major components of self-care.
(All complete: self-care sessions will be at 2pm on Zoom. RSVPs are required - sign up to get the Zoom password and room info! $25 for the five-part series!)
Monday, June 1: Social Self-Care
Monday, June 8: Physical Self-Care
Monday, June 15: Career/Intellectual Self-Care
Monday, June 22: Emotional Self-Care
Monday, June 29: Spiritual Self-Care
I am also super excited to be bringing the ever-popular Write Your Own Mission workshop to this new space!
I have facilitated this four-step interactive writing workshop with students, small groups, and individual coaching clients. I love the reactions I often see, especially when the introspection of the activity leads to a new insight or sparks a new idea! Mission statements aren’t just for businesses and organizations - the purpose of a mission statement is to clearly define who you are and what you’re about. This is as important to us as individuals as it is for any group or collective!
Saturday, June 6 at 1pm
Back when NY first hit PAUSE, I moved my group meditation to an online format (and added a second weekly offering!). This transition has gone really well and so we will keep coming together remotely until the time comes to share a common space.
This group has grown into something so special and I am so happy to continue this offering for any and all level of practitioner. Mindfulness is critically important at a time like this, so if you’re new to practicing, curious about meditation, or looking to connect with other, please join us!
Mondays at 8pm (60 minutes) or Wednesdays at 1pm (30 minutes)
Every day I take a moment to express gratitude for my continued capacity to do this work and for the technological advancements that make these connections possible. I’m looking forward to seeing you soon!
